Ragdoll Cat Grooming: Keeping That Silky Coat Beautiful

Ragdolls are famous for their soft, silky coats — and the good news is that their fur resists matting far better than many other long-haired breeds. Still, a simple grooming routine keeps your cat looking and feeling wonderful.

Brush your Ragdoll two to three times a week with a stainless steel comb, working gently from head to tail. Pay extra attention to the areas behind the ears and under the legs, where tangles are most likely to form. Most Ragdolls genuinely enjoy being brushed, and regular sessions are a lovely way to bond.

Finish each session with a quick check of the eyes, ears, and claws. Wipe away any tear staining with a soft damp cloth, peek inside the ears for wax buildup, and trim the nails every couple of weeks. A calm, consistent routine turns grooming into quality time your cat will look forward to.
